Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2310) TDIST

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2310?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17510#action_17510 ]

Andreas Guelzow commented on OFFICE-2310:
------------------------------------------

I think we need to discuss this on Tuesday. TDIST as implemented by Excel, Gnumeric, and OOo is very differnt from the other DIST functions. TDIST does not provide the density for example.

Note that the Excel 2010 function improvements document lists a new T.DIST function that supposedly is going to behave like all the other *.DIST functions.

> Again, the same problem: only the density function is described, NO
> distribution function (nor quantile function and random generation
> functions). Should be made consistent with ALL distribution functions.
> [quantile(p) = TINV(1 - (p/2)) for 2-tailed distribution]
