Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2407) 5 Metadata ManifestFiles, focus on XML representation

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2407?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17665#action_17665 ]

Michael Stahl commented on OFFICE-2407:
----------------------------------------

these are RDF properties and resources, in the RDF data model, and should be presented as such.
from the perspective of RDF, the RDF/XML representation of e.g. the metadata manifest is merely a serialization format.
and not a particularly well-designed one at that: there are lots of different but equivalent ways to express a given RDF graph in RDF/XML.
trying to explain RDF concepts at the RDF/XML level will create nothing but confusion.

for this reason, i disagree with your proposal.

> Unlike the rest of the specification, this chapter is a bit high-level (classes, properties... while the spec should be about representing these in XML elements and attributes)
