Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Updated: (OFFICE-2373) 3.10.9 Criteria Anumber or logical value. The matching field shall equal the given number.(?)

Dennis Hamilton updated OFFICE-2373:
------------------------------------

    Fix Version/s: ODF 1.2 Part 2 CD 2
                       (was: ODF 1.2 Part 2 CD 1)

This issue is more complex because of the contradictory cases around type determination and ISLOGICAL, ISNUM that seem to defeat interoperability without better guidance. Needs to be dealt with as part of a broad review of the types and their specializations for OpenFormula.

> 3.10.9 Criteria A number or logical value. The matching field shall equal the given number. (?)

> Under Criteria we say:
> A Number or Logical value. The matching field shall equal the given number.
> Shouldn't that read:
> A Number or Logical value. A matching field equals the Number or Logical value.
> I ask because we do convert between Logical and Number values and it isn't clear if it was expected in this case for Logical values to be converted to number representation.
> (noting the use of shall in this entire section is inappropriate. Matches either occur or they don't.)
