Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2322) Input Constraintsfor Arabic Function

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2322?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17804#action_17804 ]

Andreas Guelzow commented on OFFICE-2322:
------------------------------------------

Arabic takes as argument a string (Text X). We don't need to say what happens if the argument is not a string (we have covered that in general).

If we formulate a constraint we do not have to say what happens if the constraint fails (if we want an error as result value) bbecause that is covered elsewhere.

We clearly have further restrictions such as "only roman digits". We need to sa what happens if that doesn't hols (unless we put them into the constraint section.)

> It's unclear in the spec (5.19.2) whether "non-traditional" roman numerals are supported as input strings. For example, are things like IIIV or IIVI expected to work? The spec needs more detail here.
