Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2534) Public Comment: ODF1.2 comment: metadata
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2534?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=18047#action_18047 ] Michael Stahl commented on OFFICE-2534: ---------------------------------------- 1. The 5 list items in the metadata chapter This is mainly an editorial issue? I don't have a concrete proposal for improvement, maybe editors should have a look? 2. meta:user-defined inadequately defined The meta:name attribute is defined in 19.930. The similar attribute text:name is defined to have data type "string" as well, and it does not explicitly state that its purpose is to identify its element either. So I am not sure what is "inadequately defined". 3. meta:user-defined scheme attribute Currently we have a meta:value-type attribute, which allows for some predefined datatypes. User-defined data types for <meta:user-defined> are not supported. If more datatypes are required, we suggest to use the RDF metadata. It is far more flexible anyway, and already expressive enough to handle the use-case requested here. 4. meta:user-defined containing blobs AFAIK we already allow producers to put arbitrary XML into meta.xml, so i'm not sure what benefits such a restriction would have. > Public Comment: ODF 1.2 comment: metadata > ----------------------------------------- > > Key: OFFICE-2534 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2534 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Metadata > Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 Part 1 CD 4 > Reporter: Robert Weir > > Copied from office-comment list > Original author: rjelliffe@allette.com.au > Original date: 14 Feb 2010 16:27:38 -0000 > Original URL: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office-comment/201002/msg00025.html -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
