Post-script on cuboids.
1. Somewhere, it probably needs to be said, if it is not already, that when a reference is specified by two cell addresses that the smallest rectangle in the same sheet includes those cells from the rows of the two addresses, and those rows, if any, between them, that are also in the columns of the two addresses, and those columns, if any, between them.
2. These rules also give meaning to References, were they permitted, were one or the other of the addresses was a complete-column or complete-row reference. I am not suggesting that these be allowed in the syntax, although it certainly generalizes nicely.
3. It is possible to define a cuboid first, and then talk about the smallest cuboid containing any two cells or complete columns and/or complete rows as I did in the preceding comment. The other observations then become special cases and they would be best presented in notes so it is clear they are consequences, not definitions.
