This is a misreading of the proposal out of context.
It is more appropriate to see this as a request for a consistent way to have both the density function and the cumulative density function selectable for all of the probability distributions that we offer.
The request for consistency and completeness (relative to what OpenFormula offers) is appropriate.
I'm not going to quarrel with movement of this to ODF-Next, just our hand-waving about it.
Actually, I do object. If we are not going to fix this now, the odds of fixing it ever, once these become enshrined in OpenFormula strikes me as slim and we should resolve this with "No action" which is a more honest form of the famous bug-resolution term "Won't fix."
