Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2815) ODF 1.2 Part 1 9.1.6<table:column> ambiguity

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2815?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=19512#action_19512 ]

Dennis Hamilton commented on OFFICE-2815:

Jomar: Thanks. That is useful to know.

Patrick: I used "A" because the observation is what instances accomplish. I'm not sure it is possible to characterize a table properly if we don't speak in those terms here.

We might need to unpack around this a bit more (i.e., look at the way these unravel under a <table:table> instance) to be confident about the resolution.

> ODF 1.2 Part 1 9.1.6 <table:column> ambiguity
> ---------------------------------------------
> Key: OFFICE-2815
> URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2815
> Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC
> Issue Type: Bug
> Environment: This issue applies to the location and wording in ODF 1.2 CD05 Part 1 section 9.1.6
> Reporter: Dennis Hamilton
> [See OFFICE-2813. I am using properties here as proposed there.]
> The first sentence of 9.1.6,
> "The <table:table-column> element specifies properties for every column in a table"
> suggests that a single <table:table-column> element specifies properties for all of the columns.
> I think it is this way:
> """
> The <table:table-column> element specifies properties for one or more adjacent columns in a table. Every column in a table has properties specified for it in exactly one <table:table-column> element of that table.
> """
