Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2918) NEEDS-DISCUSSION:7.7.5 <text:reference-ref> this is one of the "list label" elements but isnot so defined.
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2918?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=21244#action_21244 ] Patrick Durusau commented on OFFICE-2918: ----------------------------------------- What the field will display is irrelevant to the issue. Reference marks have an inherent order in a document and hence, "list label." The issue I suggested needs resolution in ODF-Next is instead of cluttering the schema with elements for various fields that there be one field element with appropriate attributes. That way when we decide to add a field, we simply extend the attribute value listing. > NEEDS-DISCUSSION: 7.7.5 <text:reference-ref> this is one of the "list label" elements but is not so defined. > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: OFFICE-2918 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2918 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Text > Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 CD 05 > Reporter: Patrick Durusau > Assignee: Patrick Durusau > Priority: Blocker > Fix For: ODF 1.2 CD 06 > > > 7.7.5 <text:reference-ref> this is one of the "list label" elements but is not so defined. > The other "list label" elements are: <text:bookmark-ref>, <text:note-ref>, <text:sequence-ref>. > Present language reads: > "The <text:reference-ref> element represents a field that represents a reference to a <text:reference-mark-start> or <text:reference-mark> element in a text." > Suggest: "The <text:reference-ref> element represents the list label field, which is a value provided by a reference to a <text:reference-mark-start> or <text:reference-mark> element in the text. The value of the list label field depends upon styles applied to the field." > How important is it to fix this? Ambiguities in: <text:number>, <text:list-styles>, <style:list-level-label-alignment>, fo:text-indent, text:label-followed-by, text:list-tab-stop-position, text:reference-format, fo:text-align <style:list-level-properties>, text:list-level-position-and-space-mode, and text:space-before will be cured by fixing this and the other "list label" elements -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
