Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2766) 19.674table:multi-deletion-spanned - "in that case shall carry atable:multi-deletion-spanned attribute..." "...shall carry...."?
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2766?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=21824#action_21824 ] Dennis Hamilton commented on OFFICE-2766: ----------------------------------------- I don't think this language "If multiple columns or rows were deleted simultaneousy ..." works. It is possible to make a non-contiguous selection of rows (or columns) and press the delete key once. This should not be tied to what appears to be an user action. A single deletion action might be represented in the document as multiple deletions, each of one or more rows (or columns). I think this language needs to be more descriptive of what can be tracked, not what led to it. Somthing like, "If multiple columns or rows are included in a single tracked deletion, ..." > 19.674 table:multi-deletion-spanned - "in that case shall carry a table:multi-deletion-spanned attribute..." "...shall carry...."? > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: OFFICE-2766 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2766 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Table > Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 CD 05 > Reporter: Patrick Durusau > Assignee: Patrick Durusau > Priority: Minor > Fix For: ODF 1.2 CD 06 > > > 19.674 table:multi-deletion-spanned - reads in full: > "If multiple columns or rows were deleted simultaneously, each deleted row or column gets its own <table:deletion> element. The element of the first deleted row or column in that case shall carry a table:multi-deletion-spanned attribute that specifies the total number of deleted rows or columns." > The "shall carry" is awkward. > Suggest: > If multiple columns or rows were deleted simultaneously, each deleted row or column is represented by a <table:deletion> element. The <table:deletion> element representing the first deleted row or column of multiple deleted columns or rows shall have a table:multi-deletion-spanned attribute specifying the total number of deleted rows or columns in that deletion. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
