Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-3406) 17.20 -clarification about attributes associated withstyle:list-level-label-alignment

Oliver-Rainer Wittmann commented on OFFICE-3406:
------------------------------------------------

I have created a diagram and some explanation text. I have send it to our mailing list - please see http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/201010/msg00527.html

Please have a look and give some feedback.

Currently, I am not sure about the direction by which the specification text could be made more sufficient.
The current specification text contains the general purpose of <style:list-level-label-alignment> and when it is used. The third and fourth paragraph contain the same content which is also given at the specification text for fo:margin-left and fo:text-indent in chapter 19 - somehow a duplication in the specification.

I have got the impression that our rearrangement of the specification - especially the separation of elements and attributes - makes it more complicate to get together everything for a certain ODF feature. In this case it is the position and spacing of the list label and the text of the list item by the list level properties. You have to look at the following parts of the specification to get everything together:
- 17.20 <style:list-level-label-alignment>
- 20.419 text:list-level-position-and-space-mode
- 19.239 fo:margin-left
- 19.248 fo:text-indent
- 19.829 text:label-followed-by
- 19.832 text:list-tab-stop-position
- 20.214.2 fo:text-align in <style:list-level-properties>
- 20.420 text:min-label-distance
- 20.421 text:min-label-width
- 20.423 text:space-before
(I hope the list is complete.)

Considering the diagram which I have created I think it should be added to 20.419 text:list-level-position-and-space-mode. The diagram illustrates some common use cases for text:list-level-position-and-space-mode="label-alignment". Here we also state which attributes/elements are used for the different modes.

Please provide corresponding feedback. This will help me to provide further clarifications which we can include into the specification.

> The descriptions related to style:list-level-label-alignment element and the use of its attributes are very confusing. Would it be possible to include an example diagram that shows how the values of the attributes relate to one another?
