Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-3479) 20.420text:min-label-distance - improve/clarify/correct specification text
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-3479?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=22502#action_22502 ] Patrick Durusau commented on OFFICE-3479: ----------------------------------------- Does this work? Question follows: The text:min-label-distance attribute specifies the minimum distance between a list label and the text of a list item. The content of a list label is rendered inside a specified minimum width - see text:min-label-width. The text of a list item is rendered following the label width area. If the distance between a list label and the text of a list item is smaller than the value of the text:min-label-width attribute, the following actions are performed. First, the content of the list label is moved inside the specified minimum label width up to the value of the text:min-label-width attribute. If that does not result in a value equal to the text:min-label-width attribute, the text of the list item is moved until the distance between the list label and text of list item equals the value of the text:min-label-width attribute. I said "following the label" to account for different locales having different notions of what "following" means, such as in r-to-l texts. I am assuming that the movement of the content o the list label is up the amount specified by the text:min-label-width attribute and if that isn't enough, then leaving that where it is *after* movement, we then move the text of the list item. Yes? Two movements, but list label first, then the text of the list item. Placeholder for ODF-Next discussion: We need to talk about interoperability as seen by users and define (hopefully separate) rendering requirements. Which are different from interchange requirements. > 20.420 text:min-label-distance - improve/clarify/correct specification text > --------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: OFFICE-3479 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-3479 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Styles, Text > Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 CD 05 > Reporter: Oliver-Rainer Wittmann > Assignee: Patrick Durusau > Fix For: ODF 1.2 CD 06 > > > The discussion of issue OFFICE-3406 reveals that the specification text for attribute text:min-label-distance - improve/clarify/correct specification text should be improved. > See proposal for the improvement -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
