Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2730) Public Comment: Whatare "escape points" ?

Michael, I completely believe that you understand what all of these terms are supposed to mean. I am looking only at the ODF1.2 draft and try to understand how these terms are defined in the ODF1.2 draft so that when (or if) we implement them our implementation will match whatever some other implementor is likely to do.

I understand that a glue point is a point in the area of a drawing object defined by a draw:glue-point eleemnt.

I believe I can guess what a connector shape is. (Of course I have no idea whether this guess is correct since the term "connector shape" appears to be used only once in the ODF1.2 draft, namely in 10.3.16.) My guess is that it is in fact not a shape but some open path between two points.

I suspect that "lines connector", "line connector", "curve connector" and "standard connector" are possibly specific types of connector shapes.

I suspect that a lines connector is a path consisting of three straight line segments. The path starts at the (a?) glue point of one object and ends at the (a?) glue point of the other object. Since there are infinitely many such 3-line-segment-paths I also suspect that there is more to this.

A standard connector would then be a special case of a lines connector were the three lines are perpendicular to each other?
