Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2730) Public Comment: Whatare "escape points" ?

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2730?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=22926#action_22926 ]

Andreas Guelzow commented on OFFICE-2730:
------------------------------------------

Michael, sorry, I guess I was still looking at editor revision 2.

Looking at revision 3 I see:
"The draw:line-skew attribute specifies a list
of offsets for the placements of connector lines if the connector is of type standard. The offsets
are relative to the default position of the connector, that is, the position the lines get if the
draw:line-skew attribute is not present. The offsets are applied in the order from the
connector's start to its end shape. The first offset is applied to the line that follows the line that is
connected to the start shape. The last line to which an offset is applied is the line that precedes
the line that is connected to the end shape.
For the application of the offsets the connector lines are interpreted as vectors from their start to
the their end point. Positive values move a line to the right, while negative values move it to the
left."

This does make more sense but of course tells me that it affects the connectors _only_ _after_ I know the connector's default position. So 19.192 does not help me to find that default position.

[Where do we use the fact that "for the application of the offsets the connector lines are interpreted as vectors from their start to
the their end point"? Since we are just moving the lines to the right or left, what is the point of having mentioned vectors?]
