Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-3407) 20.374 - valuesmissing from the scheme for the style:text-rotation-angle attribute

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-3407?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=22997#action_22997 ]

Andreas Guelzow commented on OFFICE-3407:

Patrick, no.

You can use style:rotation-angle to rotate cells and charts or axes but I am _not_ talking about rotating cells or charts, or axes. I am talking about rotating text.

There is obviously a connection between this issue and OFFICE-3430. The proposed resolution (that I am opposed to) for OFFICE-3430 is to make style:rotation-angle applied to an axis only rotate the "labels" rather than the "content" as previously defined.

If style:rotation-angle is used to rotate the content, then style:text-rotation-angle could/should be used to rotate the text attached to that axis.

Note that rotating for example cell text in Gnumeric is different than rotating cell text in OOo.
In OOo the text is rotated as a block, ie. de-facto the cell is rotated. In Gnumeric the lines of text are rotated separately, so this is not a rotation of the cell.
