Actually Steve and I and Rob, too, want this to be something more than technical but to include those whose business interests include ODF or ought to. My original message reflected that.

> The ODF TC is also exploring having OASIS sponsorship and having it be possible for contributions to ODF to be presented under the ODF contribution IP conditions. (This is all pretty speculative at this point.) I think it will be great to have participation of LibreOffice experts, and locating in Europe should encourage that. (It just occurred for me that some degree of alignment on approach to implementation notes would be a worthwhile discussion at such a conference and/or at a plugfest as well.)

Even though it might not be possible to share the same venue, if they are close enough to each other it would help a great deal for those who travel far for such events. I still intend to manage to get to one of these myself. October might actually work.

I sent the original call using the wrong alias. I also sent it and resent it today to ODF adoption, ODF OIC, ODF TC. So, the whole bloody lot of ODF zealots should be aware of the damn thing by now :-)

Cheers
