Subject: RE: [office] ODF Next Workshop (plus) for fall 2011 Netherlands

I think the parts of the workshop that involve contributions and discussion under OASIS ODF IP contribution conditions need to be separated from any portions involving general/open-attendance and presentations of a different nature. Sort of the way the Plugfest technical day is limited and separated from the Plugfest informational and marketing day. Of course, if OASIS does not approve of the first part, the whole thing goes outside of OASIS and the ODF TC; I have nothing to say about arrangements in that case.

PS: Does anyone know more about any ODF track at LOcon2011 in Paris?

PPS: Those "whose business interests include ODF" may raise concerns of a separate nature that restricts participation of producers of ODF-supporting products. I don't know how that works in Europe, but in the US there is reason for caution related to competition-law considerations.

Actually Steve and I and Rob, too, want this to be something more than technical but to include those whose business interests include ODF or ought to. My original message reflected that.
