Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Issue Comment Edited: (OFFICE-3790) style:writing-mode attribute appears on <style:page-layout-properties>, includes "page" value (not meaningful for a page)

Oliver-Rainer Wittmann edited comment on OFFICE-3790 at 10/29/12 11:01 AM:

We have appendix "E.1 Paragraph and Layout Direction" which talks about the style:writing-mode.

Thus, I think we did not intend to have value "page" for attribute style:writing-mode in element <style:page-layout-properties>.

Patrick, do you think it would make sense to have a deeper look at E.1?
May be checking, if certain wording should be moved to the intrinsic specification text of attribute style:writing-mode?
May be checking, if the wording in E.1 could be simplified - there is a lot of duplicate text?

> style:writing-mode attribute appears on <style:page-layout-properties>, includes "page" value.
> page means "writing mode is inherited from the page that contains the element where this attribute appears."
> But <style:page-layout-properties> is the element where "page" would be inherited from. So "page" not meaningful for this attribute on <style:page-layout-properties>
> Question: To remove this requires declaration of another attribute group. Should we insert a note saying to ignore this value for the attribute on this element? As opposed to complicating the schema?
