Subject: Naming advice on multi-parts
Greetings! The new multi-part naming guidelines will appear in a day or so but you will be glad to learn that ODF is one of the examples! Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) Version 1.2. Part 1: OpenDocument Schema Noting that "Version" and the period following the version number are the only differences (aside from the name but I think that is the TCs call). Reforming Rob's last proposal: Open Document Format Version 1.3. Part 1: Introduction (odf-intro) Open Document Format Version 1.3. Part 2: Packages (odf-packages) Open Document Format Version 1.3. Part 3: Documents and Components (odf-documents) Open Document Format Version 1.3. Part 4: OpenFormula (odf-openformula) Open Document Format Version 1.3. Part 5: Change Tracking (odf-changetracking) The reason to disallow the double (or single) hyphen is that code pages map to different "hyphen/minus" like characters. Which makes indexing and search problematic. Hope everyone is having a great week!
