Subject: Re: [office] Stepping down as ODF TC Chair

Rob, all of us at OASIS second Patrick's reply. The OpenDocument Format TC and ODF are where they stand in the international community today in no small part due to your leadership and support.

Personally, it has been a delight to work with you as the TC Co-Chair and support you all through the evolution of the Standard. I'm glad to know that you'll continue to stay active in the TC and I wish you all the best in your new role.

Best regards,

I can't begin to express what your participation and contributions
have meant to the current success of ODF. People always say that but
in your case it is true. From helping to manage the TC, promoting ODF,
international meetings, it's really hard to say what the past 6 1/2
years have meant.

This is to acknowledge (reluctantly) your resignation as ODF TC
Co-Chair effective June 30th or when a new TC Co-Chair is elected,
whichever is earlier.

I am very glad that you will be staying as a TC member and I think I
can speak for the entire TC in wishing you well in your new roles at IBM.

Hope that you are having a great day!
