Subject: ODF TC Chat log from 6 Nov. 2017
Greetings! Our chat log for 6 Nov. 2017 is below. Hope everyone is at the start of a great week! Patrick Svante Schubert1: Hi, just joined the call Patrick: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3926 Patrick: look for examples here: https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/201707/msg00020.html Jos van den Oever: "The list style specified by this attribute is applied to headings and paragraphs that *are contained in a list*" Jos van den Oever: It seems to me that list-style-name only applies to headings in lists, not to other headings or paragraphs. Patrick: HeadingWithoutList.odt - question - are all the heading numberings incorrect? Regina Henschel: But then the part " where the heading's paragraph style does not define a list style to use itself. " makes no sense Patrick: One, style myHeading1, outline level 1 Jos van den Oever: Why does that not make sense? Regina Henschel: Then the wording would simple be: Outline style is used for headings, that are not part of a list. Patrick: Word does assign numbers but on what basis? Jos van den Oever: https://beta.opendocumentformat.org/rendercompare/upload/161/150/86/1 Jos van den Oever: shows how it's rendered in MS Office 2016 Patrick: Jos points to: https://beta.opendocumentformat.org/blob/112903/112903.pdf for Office treatment Patrick: Regina - outline style applies to heading that are not part of a list Patrick: Regina - what happens if heading is inside graphic element which has a list-style attribute defined Patrick: Regina - what happens with header is inside a text box Patrick: Michael - no header in text box? Jos van den Oever: But draw:text-box may contain text:h Patrick: Jos - ok Michael Stahl: header in text box *does* work after all Patrick: Aarti, can you investigate: https://beta.opendocumentformat.org/blob/112903/112903.pdf Patrick: Does style:list-style-name apply to headers when it is present? If heading outside a list - LO - not a problem. For Word, is showing number an error or intentional. Patrick: If no, then LO is presently correct. Patrick: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3922 Patrick: fix prose to allow text:list and text:p in draw:image Patrick: Regina will make an example for the next meeting - presentation Michael Stahl: apparently i was thrown out of the call - but it's 19:03 already ... bye, till next week Patrick: bye Michael Svante Schubert1: bye bye Patrick: adjourn -- Patrick Durusau patrick@durusau.net Technical Advisory Board, OASIS (TAB) Editor, OpenDocument Format TC (OASIS), Project Editor ISO/IEC 26300 Co-Editor, ISO/IEC 13250-1, 13250-5 (Topic Maps) Another Word For It (blog): http://tm.durusau.net Homepage: http://www.durusau.net Twitter: patrickDurusau
