Jos van den Oever: ftp://ftp.boulder.ibm.com/software/lotus/desktop/LotusDoc/10381.txt has similar wording Jos van den Oever: "VDB allows for the use of an initial-period option to calculate depreciation for the period the asset is placed in service. VDB uses the fractional part of start-period and end-period to determine the initial-period option. If both start-period and end-period have fractional parts, VDB uses start-period's fractional part." Patrick: ping dave about initialPeriod under VDB - does that mean startperiod > 0? or some other meaning?
