No implementer is working on this feature currently.

It does appear in LibreOffice bugtracker as 105668, 71583, 50210.

Could be from manual reset of numbering, by section, would also impact styles.

Patrick: It's the global nature of metastatistics that leads to this issue. Should consider what less than global metadata could offer in terms of authoring and other data.
