Subject: Re: [office] Namespaces?

Francis,

I don't know that we are required to prevent their interpretation as hyperlinks but we should not be writing them as hyperlinks, yes?

I wonder, ..., I have created a test file, attached, that show when written as plain text, a hyperlink remains just text. Tested only with Mozilla and Chrome on Debian.

Hope you are having a great day!

Patrick

Hi Patrick and all!

This exact issue has recently come up in preparing a revision of Part 2 of OOXML. In the PDF version (weâre not currently producing an HTML version) all URIs are interpreted as hyperlinks, even if they are namespaces or other forms of identifier.

Â

The answer is surely that they should not be hyperlinks, but ensuring that they arenât interpreted as hyperlinks when the ODT, PDF or HTML versions are opened in an arbitrary document reader may be challenging.

Kind regards,

Subject: [office] Namespaces?

Â

Greetings!

We list the declared namespaces on part 3, all as urns until we reach:

http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/office/1.2/meta/odf#

http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/office/1.2/meta/pkg#

It's a valid namespace in RelaxNG but should it be rendered as a hyperlink?

Thoughts?

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Patrick
