Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (OFFICE-3843) [text] additional text-properties for extra border attributes

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3843?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=78868#comment-78868 ]

Regina Henschel commented on OFFICE-3843:
-----------------------------------------

Michael Stahl added 01/Feb/21 8:50 PM,
{quote}a sequence of text:span/text:a/text:ruby-base with equal text padding/border/shadow attributes
{quote}
The element text:ruby-base has no attributes and does not reference any style. Do you mean <text:ruby> (<style:style> of family ruby) or <text:ruby-text> (<style:style> of family text)?

Perhaps do not include ruby at all in collapsing borders?
{quote}a part of a paragraph that has text padding/border/shadow attributes which are not overridden by a span/etc.
{quote}
That is not clear to me.

bq. ÂText padding+border+shadow is applied around the bounding box of the text.
What about character anchored objects like Math-objects or images? Shouldn't they be included into the border too?

Further question: What should happen in case of nested span elements, if the padding/border/shadow attributes in their styles are different? Nest the borders? Or "wins" the outmost one?
