Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (OFFICE-4110) 19.179 draw:handle-position has wrong parameter order in case of polar handle-position

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-4110?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=79994#comment-79994 ]

Regina Henschel commented on OFFICE-4110:
-----------------------------------------

I have inspected "Hancom Office 2020" https://office.hancom.com/office2020/

They provide a full featured, 30 day test version.

If you select the document type on the main page and scroll down to the end, then you will see a section "Supported file formats". For text documents, spreadsheets and presentations, ODF is listed as supported.

I have installed the desktop test version. Opening indeed accepts ODF and save as provides ODF.

Opening the test odt files shows no shape at all. Opening the test odp files shows rectangles and no handles.

If I insert a OOXML shape "chord" or "donut" from the UI of Hancom Office 2020, which I know that they have polar handles in OOXML, and then export to ODF the resulting file has a static replacement of the path using BÃzier curves and no handle at all. When opening the exported file in Hancom Office 2020 no shapes are shown.

In meta.xml the exported file lists "OpenXML/ODF Translator" as generator. That is a command line converter which claims to convert between OOXML ECMA and ODF 1.1. Its developing project is no longer active. Last version is from 2009.

> Section 19.179 draw:handle-position (below table 13) states
> "If the draw:handle-polar attribute is set, then a handle is a polar handle and the first parameter of the draw:handle-position attribute specifies the angle (as defined in 18.3.1), the handle radius is specified by the second parameter."
> But applications LibreOffice and MS Office use is the other way round.
> Google Presentation and SoftMaker do not support non-primitive custom shapes.
> Scribus does not support handle, but renders the saved status same as MS Office and LibreOffice.
> Because there is no application, that has implemented it as specified, I suggest to treat is as editorial error. Or do you know any application? Attached is a document with shape with polar handle.
