Notes from the ODF TC teleconference on 30 January 2023 follow below.

The office:version attribute shall be present in every <office:document>, <office:document-content>, <office:document-styles>, <office:document-meta>, and <office:document-settings> element in the XML documents that comprise an OpenDocument 1.4 document. The value of the office:version attribute shall be "1.4".

*Patrick:*  Regina suggest leaving "When an office:version-requiring element has office:version omitted, the element is based on a version of the OpenDocument specification earlier than v1.2." for note 1.

*Patrick:*  Reform note 1, delete notes 2 and 3, use updated language in chat for the proposal - change in the schema as well.

*Patrick:*  Andreas - if not 1.4, it is invalid - not the correct standard to use

*Patrick:*  Regina - useful for reader to know there was a prior version where it could be omitted -

*Patrick:*  The office:version attribute value was not required by OpenDocument specifications prior to 1.2.

*Patrick:*  delete 2 and 3 - Note 1 becomes just note because there is just one
