*Patrick:* quorum

*Patrick:* Regina - talk about post from Eike -https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office-comment/202303/msg00003.html

*Patrick:* Take up before Regina's issue.

*Patrick:* agenda, with that addition, approved by consent

*Patrick:* minutes of March 6th, 2023 - approved by consent

*Patrick:* https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office-comment/202303/msg00003.html

*Patrick:* Andreas - not clear what 3rd paragraph is trying to say or it is saying the same thing as the second paragraph.

*Patrick:* Andreas - third paragraph is wrong but the solution is to get rid of it.

*Patrick:* Regina - agrees we can delete third paragraph

*Patrick:* Create issue for formula - 6.14.6 Index, Eike reporting, delete third paragraph entirely

*Patrick:* Regina - Eike's suggestion isn't correct, so just delete third paragraph

*Patrick:* Svante agrees

*Patrick:* Patrick to: Create issue for formula - 6.14.6 Index, Eike reporting, delete third paragraph entirely

*Patrick:* by consent

*Patrick:* https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/202303/msg00006.html

*Patrick:* draw:text-style-name - where do we put in new information on page 10

*Patrick:* The first applicable style excludes those that follow.

*Patrick:* Michael reads as first one, even if empty, controls

*Michael Stahl:* "The first applicable style excludes those that follow." is misleading - we want to look up every property in the styles 1, 2, 3 and take the first one that defines it

*Patrick:* The first style that defines formating for text in a shape excludes others.

*Patrick:* excludes other styles.

*Patrick:* The first style sets a formatting property of text in a shape excludes other styles.

*Patrick:* The first style that set the formatting properties of text in a shape excludes other styles.

*Patrick:* The first style that sets the formatting properties of text in a shape excludes other styles.

*Patrick:* The first style that sets the formatting properties of text in a shape excludes formatting from other styles.

*Michael Stahl:* there is some text for this already in "16.2 <style:style>"

*Svante:* https://docs.oasis-open.org/office/OpenDocument/v1.3/os/part3-schema/OpenDocument-v1.3-os-part3-schema.html#element-style_style

*Patrick:* Regina - with 16.2, lose the text style in the shape

*Patrick:* Michael suggests inserting this attribute into 16.2

*Michael Stahl:* idea inspired by 16.2: The determination of the value of a formatting property begins with the style in 1) and its parent styles. If that does yield a value for that formatting property, the value of the formatting property is taken from 2). etc. for 3)

*Regina Henschel:* For 16.2: For styles with family paragraph which are applied to paragraph elements which are contained in a drawing shape or a chart element, the search continues within the style applied by a draw:text-style-name attribute and then with graphic, presentation or chart style that is applied to the drawing object or chart element, and continues in its parent styles.

*Michael Stahl:* For 16.2: For styles with family paragraph which are applied to paragraph elements which are contained in a drawing shape or a chart element, the search continues within the style applied by a draw:text-style-name attribute on the drawing shape or chart element, and then with graphic, presentation or chart style that is applied to the drawing object or chart element, and continues in its parent styles.

*Michael Stahl:* For 16.2: For styles with family paragraph which are applied to paragraph elements which are contained in a drawing shape or a chart element, the search continues within the style applied by a draw:text-style-name attribute to the drawing shape or chart element, and then with graphic, presentation or chart style that is applied to the drawing object or chart element, and continues in its parent styles.

*Michael Stahl:* For 16.2: For styles with family paragraph which are applied to paragraph elements which are contained in a drawing shape or a chart element, the search continues within the style applied by a draw:text-style-name attribute to the drawing shape or chart element and its parent styles, and then with graphic, presentation or chart style that is applied to the drawing object or chart element, and continues in its parent styles.

*Patrick:* Patrick - last occurrence of in its parent styles or their parent styles?

*Patrick:* OK, only one of them would be applied

*Patrick:* elements have only one of graphic, presentation, or chart - exclusionary

*Patrick:* Regina - not in draw:text-style-name but in 16.2 - For 16.2: For styles with family paragraph which are applied to paragraph elements which are contained in a drawing shape or a chart element, the search continues within the style applied by a draw:text-style-name attribute to the drawing shape or chart element and its parent styles, and then with graphic, presentation or chart style that is applied to the drawing object or chart element, and continues in its parent styles.

*Patrick:* Regina will add to next version of the proposal

*Patrick:* Settles which writing-mode is used, have writing-mode in table - section and table-cells properties - look at and comment before next Monday
