Subject: Groups - Test case with test metadata example (testdoc-with-metadatadoc.zip) uploaded

Hi,

I've submitted a very simple test document and a description of it (both
files are in the zip) using my meta-data-on-test-case proposal (RNG and XSD
also available in the OIC document repository).

Hopefully this makes things a little bit more tangible.

In short, IMHO we should:

- create lots and lots of these test documents
- note down the various (real or perceived) quirks of the ODF spec itself
on the OIC Wiki
- send the list of these remarks to the main ODF TC
- in parallel, generate a test set for a given ODF version (using some
basic scripting, running over all the test meta data files)
- encourage vendors and/or researchers to send in the results of specific
implementations (they can use "result" elements in the meta data file)
- generate a general report (using some basic scripting), removing the
names of specific vendors/implementations
- publish this report
- use this report to make recommendations on interop, profiles etc

(see also the OIC Wiki)

As this is merely a proposal, feel free to add comments and make
suggestions.

Best regards,

Bart
