Subject: Any interest in an ODF Specimen Collection?
I'm thinking something like this: 1) Specify a comprehensive scenario, but one within the functional capabilities of most editors. Maybe something along the lines of the Shah & Kesan test case. 2) Create the scenario in as many editors and versions of editors as we can. So many versions of MS Office, OpenOffice, Symphony, KOffice, Plugins, etc. 3)Provide some minimal ordering to the collection, e.g., enforce a naming convention and directory structure. 4) Without additional commentary or analysis, ZIP up the collection and publish it for vendors to test with. The goal would be to help applications be more robust when processing ODF documents by making them aware of the range of ODF variations one can expect to see "in the wild".
