2. STATUS OF ACTION ITEMS
#0015 Template Scenarios. Dennis reported no progress.
#0041 Battery of ODF 1.2 Assessment Documents. In-progress to bring some to Plugfest (mix of the adjusted spreadsheet from before, testing new features of ODF 1.2, OpenFormula, RDF, DSig, and tables in presentations)
#0044 Split up Advisory 00002 - no progress. Still needs list discussion
#0045 Draft Advisory 00008 on DSig Namespace issues - Bart added more items that are ready for more testing. This issue can be closed.
  #0046 Update Advisory 00007 - no progress

3. DELIVERABLES / TEST CASES

3.1 Interop Advisories

<http://tools.oasis-open.org/version-control/svn/oic/Advisories/>
and <http://wiki.oasis-open.org/oic/InteropAdvisories>

#00002 Split up into multiple advisories is still needed.
#00004 TO BALLOT FOR CANDIDATE STATUS
#00005 Bart believes this is done. Will create a ballot to promote to Candidate Advisory.
       TO BALLOT FOR CANDIDATE STATUS
#00007 Pending update from Dennis
#00008 Now has test documents that vary namespaces on document signatures and need to test with now.
#00009 is a place-holder from Dennis

3.2 Second "State of Interoperability" Report

Rob reports no further work so far. The idea is to do a new update with key findings from past Plugfests. Rob needs input from the TC. A wiki page will be the way to collect those.

3.3 Embedded Fonts, <http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/oic/201112/msg00004.html>

Test documents that contain embedded fonts are needed. There may be an available document. Bart will check with Joost.

3.4 Other Deliverables

There could be something about encryption and the additional methods as well as maintaining default-attribute interop when possible.

Also, tables in presentations will be interesting. This is worth testing to see how well one can operate without embedding spreadsheet tables. Inter-convertibility with tables in PowerPoint will also be of interest.

4. ODF EVENTS

4.1 ODF Plugfest, April 19-20, 2012, <http://www.odfplugfest.org>

There are conference calls. The last one dealt with layout of the schedule and logistics, dinners, etc. There is nothing specific about technical sessions.

The OpenDocument Society has slots for sign-up on the technical calendar. Bart linked to a draft outline of the program: <http://plugtest.opendocsociety.org/doku.php?id=plugfests:201204_brussels:info>.

4.2 Linux event in May

There may be some sort of ODF Track. There will be an ODF presentation. Svante may be presenting on his MCT (Merged Change-Tracking) proposal as well.

5. ROUND TABLE

There was some discussion about the absence of formal feedback from Plugfest events, and the dependence of capture on someone recording test information that is presented at a Plugfest. So long as Chatham House rules are honored, there is more that could be brought back beyond the sort of anecdotal selection that comes back now. It was suggested that there could be a Plugfest action item to provide formal feedback to the OIC. If files and issues come directly to us, they become freely available. The alternative is to capture on the Plugfest wiki along with any record of experience abstracted away from specific implementations.

Rob provided a summary of what the ODF TC has been doing. There are requirements being generated for change-tracking. There is also now an MCT (Merged CT) proposal to be considered along with GCT (Generic CT) and ECT (Extended CT).

6. FUTURE MEETING PLANNING

The next call will be on 2012-03-07, at the usual time.

Respectfully submitted,

Dennis E. Hamilton, OIC TC Secretary
