What I think you are saying is that by referencing the "app" that created the PDF (source="..."), we require that it not be editable except perhaps without something known to be compatible with the source app (or to be the source "app" itself). [I have been using yahoo web mail, but it's doing a crummy job with reply formatting. Also, I have been trying to get enough context in case the process putting the emails on the web as threads requires it.]
