IMHO, the very easy way to do it is to set up an official acid test that
any application that claim conformance must pass with sufficient
percentage; that way, having an open test that anyone can use, you can
quite easily disarm the vendor - because everyone can test the official
acid test and see for themselves whether that app is conformant or not.
No need for vendors to publish results themselves, as everyone will be
able to do tests.
