Subject: A Brief Advisory Council Update

Hello, Advisory Council members,

I hope you're all having a wonderful summer so far, and are stretching those vacations as long as you can!

We had our OASIS Board Meeting almost 2 weeks ago, and I wanted to share a bit about how that went. The Board of Directors was of course very grateful for the Advisory Council's input on Open Projects, and is excited to see how this relationship and program will grow in the coming year. We also invited an Ethereum PGB member, Dan Burnett of ConsenSys, to talk to the board about how they view the benefit and value of Open Projects. On a personal note, it was really nice to introduce an Open Project to the board in that way - I think all parties appreciated it as a learning experience and we should definitely continue to do things like that for our board in theÂfuture.Â

A big topic of discussion, and one that originated in large part from our Advisory Council conversations, was the positioning of our Open Projects program with the Foundation-as-a-Service (nee: Foundation-in-a-Box). You all provided a lot of good perspectives and insights on our last call, which helped us go back to the Board with this feedback. I hope to have some new messaging to test with you all on our next call based on all these great conversations.

We've also added blog functionality back to our Open Projects website, and will be starting to add content to it on a regular basis. In addition to project announcements, we'll be sharing guides, event summaries, news, and relevant topics from AC meetings. If you've written something you feel would be a good fit for publication or re-publication there, we certainly welcome the addition.

Finally, we will have a new Open Project to introduce to you soon that we're very excited about. Stay tuned for more on this, and of course other periodic updates. As always, let us know if there's anything we can help you with!
