Hi Jim,
Well, as you saw from the recent email thread, we certainly still need all of your collective expertise.. :)
And truthfully, despite my experience in the same community all of you are a part of, there is no substitute for the learned opinions and experience that all of you bring. I feel that my experiences, combined with all of you, give OASIS Open a leg up on a lot of issues and challenges.
That said, you are correct that we need to make sure we balance over vs. under utilizing all of you. Please know that our primary goal is to be respectful of all of your time, so weâve erred a bit on the conservative side. We will keep that in mind and try to have more engagement here on the mailing list between AC meetings to make sure you are all engaged in the latest things we are considering.
Thanks, as always, for the service you all provide by being part of the Advisory Council.

I am thinking that the council has seen quite a number of changes since it was first envisioned and put in place. In particular, whereas initially the members of the council served as experts and advisors related to Open Source for OASIS, those "roles" seem now to be filled quite well with the current ED and the updated board.
So my question is simple: What purpose does this council now serve to OASIS? Frankly, I feel quite underutilized. Late to the party, but likewise thanks for contributions & was great having the opportunity to benefit from you experience through this group!

++1! You will be most sincerely and sorely missed Nithya!
Weâll miss you, Nithya!
Itâs been an honor to work by your side.
âtobie Nithya, It has been our honor to have you on the Open Projects Advisory Board. You have been a tremendous help, and our program was made so much better by your input. We deeply appreciate the time and advice you gave us.
Please know that if your schedule ever lightens up, there will always be a place for you here.
All the best, Carol
Dear Oasis Open Advisory Board, I loved joining this advisory board 2 years ago with all of you and am very proud of the work this organization has done over the past 2 years. With Guy joining the organization has definitely taken it to
the next level. I wanted to drop a note to say I have decided to resign from the advisory board this week as I have gotten busier and taken on more than I can handle. It was terrific to work with all of you and I know I will continue to see you and work
with you in the broader open source community. Thanks Guy and Carol for your support and making it possible for me to work with you on creating a bridge between open source and standards.
