Subject: Re: [openc2-actuator] SLPF: Specifiers for the OpenC2 target type
All,
The SLPF profile supports the 'query openc2' command. It provides a means for the orchestrator to determine the profile(s) and option(s) that the actuator supports, that is, a means for the actuator to tell us what it can do. Specifiers for the openc2 target type are not defined in the language specification, so we defined them in the SLPF profile.
Question: Should we move this to the language specification and remove it from the SLPF specification?
THIS IS MY OPINION ONLY: It doesn't makes little sense to have the openc2 target specifiers defined in the profile. The whole purpose of the query openc2 command is to determine the profiles supported and (if appropriate) determine where the schema is. I am suggesting we pull the openc2 target specifiers out of the profile, but we will need them in the language spec....
