Subject: Multi-Vendor Road Show for SCA/SDO - Status Update

Dear Member Section

With reference to IBM's proposal for a vendor-neutral multi-company multi-geography SCA road show (Reference: <http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/opencsa-ms/document.php?document_id=25063>), I'd like to confirm the current status:

- Adobe Systems and Rogue Wave Software have committed to join us, so all further events will be cosponsored by, at minimum, three companies.
- The initial three events in China were extremely successful, with over 100 attendees in each, <15% no-shows and over 88% ratings of good/very good.
- Further events are now being planned in Europe, Asia and North America for 4Q07.
- Adobe, IBM and Rogue Wave remain interested in increasing sponsorship scope by adding more supporting venues and further vendor cosponsors.
- Ultimately, we would like to formalize this initiative under the OASIS umbrella, if that's viable.

Please contact me if you have an interest in joining us. I will be in Palo Alto on Tuesday to Thursday 18-20th September next week and would be happy to arrange a meeting also.
Finally, I attach a brief report from Doug Tidwell regarding the first three briefings in China.
