Open CSA Member Section Conference Call

Dear Open CSA Members,

Thank you for sending along comments on our recently published Symposium
Call for Participation.  We're hoping the final version covers all the
comments and concerns.  Please feel free to view the full Call for

We're very excited about this year's topic "Composability within Service
Oriented Architectures" and are hopeful that the Member Section and
related TCs will take advantage of all the possibilities. If possible, Dee
Schur and I would like to schedule a few minutes to briefly explore all
these options (listed again below). Please let me know if you're able to
add us to your next conference call agenda.  We look forward to discussing
all these ideas further and thank you in advance for the support.

Items for the Open CSA MS to consider:

1. Suggest keynote speaker(s) and/or appropriate keynote presentation topics
- we realize that the SCA TCs are newly formed but the reaction has been
very positive from the marketplace. We would be delighted to invite an
innovative end-user/implementer keynote that appreciates the value of
composite applications, understanding that they may not have a solution in
place. Problematic 'pain-point' challenges would be truly provocative and
would encourage growth and participation. We might consider a vertical
industry leader for outreach; such as financial, healthcare, public sector,
etc.

2. consider allowing the Open CSA MS officially support the event

3. encourage SCA and SDO submissions for presentations and tutorials

4. consider an Open CSA vendor showcase, press briefing, F2F TC meetings,
and/or recruiting workshop to attract new participation in Open CSA
(please note that hotel meeting space is limited, so we'll need to confirm
space ASAP)

5. assistance with distribution 'Symposium Announcement' to all relevant
lists, wikis, blogs, etc.
