Sorry, I just realized I forgot one thing: what about single file/embedded databases? OpenOffice does them via HSQLDB. What does the ISO standard (especially the next version, 1.2) says on this? Is it possible to embed a proprietary server-less database in an ODF file and maintain it compliant with the standard?
