Discuss the upcomming workshop (in conjunction with OASIS) on Principles, Frameworks and Emerging Standards for Reputation and Provenance Chris is going ove the proposed workshop (in conjunction with OASIS)' Reputation and Provenance is the key topics of the workshop Chris says "provenance" is "issuer", somewhat of a chaining, where did things come from So should this group also take up the Provenance aspects ? Bill: public branding seems to be the reputaion aspects Chris: take the peanut situation where the provenance aspects effected the reputation aspect becase the transparency Tony: still a fine line between provenance and reputation, the peanut plant had issues of its own reputation Mani: is provenance interval based ? Bill: proximity may be a component of both provenance and reputation Bill: proximity may be a factor in provenance and/or reputation Mani: may need to add in provenance into the over all reputation calculation Chris: Overview of ORMS, usecase, reference model, etc Chris: Expect 50-60 people could attend Dorothy: Could do registration through OASIS? Chris: Probably not Chris: Anticipate using IBM facility in Bethesda Chris: If interested in attending, send email to rcdaly@us.ibm.com (Chris correct if wrong "Chris Daly") Mani: How to distinguish Provenance from other parts of Reputation? Chris: There are some Provenance reference models already defined List of attendees: Anthony Nadalin, Bruce Rich, Henrik Biering, Jeff Broberg, Mani, anonymous, anonymous1, chris daly Next meeting in 2 weeks Mani: use-case 12 in our reference model talks about hierarchical reputation calculation.
