Subject: Building Web Reputation Systems
I have been going over the book Building Web Reputation Systems http://www.amazon.com/Building-Reputation-Systems-Randy-Farmer/dp/059615979X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1283917834&sr=8-1 <http://www.amazon.com/Building-Reputation-Systems-Randy-Farmer/dp/059615979X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1283917834&sr=8-1> for the last few days. It is actually pretty close to what we have been discussing, though the statistical property of the normalization remains mystery there. I highly recommend you to read it. (It is a thick book, but much of it is about the reputation calculation so you can skip them.) It is introducing an interesting "graphical language" for the reputation. We could create a text version of them as well, I thought. e.g. reputor>claim/criteria>reputee and reputro>>>claim>reputee Also, since it is one of the few book about reputation in the market, we might either want to create the terminology matching table or convert our terminology to match theirs. It would also be nice if we can persuade the authors to join our group. BTW, I am bound to a conference this week that I am unable to attend the TC meeting. If you would like to have a meeting, please go ahead without me. Otherwise, let us cancel this week's meeting.
