Subject: Confirmation of meeting tomorrow

We will hold a meeting of the OASIS OSLC CCM TC tomorrow, Thursday Feb. 24th at 7am US/Pacific. For call-in details, see https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/oslc-ccm/members/action_item.php?action_item_id=3690.

One topic on the agenda is my promised write-up of a more complete shape and vocabulary for change sets: I have added that in the cset branch of the spec at https://tools.oasis-open.org/version-control/browse/wsvn/oslc-ccm/branches/cset/specs/config-mgt/config-resources.html#cset-shapes.

The minutes of the previous meeting on Feb. 11th may be found at https://wiki.oasis-open.org/oslc-ccm/Meetings/Telecon2016.02.11, and are reproduced below.

Nick.

Chat transcript from room: oslc-ccm 2016-02-11 GMT-08:00

[07:04] Bill Chown: Bill is scribe

[07:04] Bill Chown: Bill Chown Brian Steele (IBM) David Honey (IBM) Jim Amsden (IBM) Martin Sarabura (PTC) Nick Crossley (IBM) Peter Hack (IBM) Rainer Romatka (Boeing)

[07:04] Nick Crossley (IBM): Review of previous meeting's minutes at https://wiki.oasis-open.org/oslc-ccm/Meetings/Telecon2015.12.17

[07:06] Bill Chown: minutes of prior meeting accepted

[07:07] Bill Chown: Status of Change Management (Jim); spec has been circulated for comments, now ready for TC Review.

[07:10] Bill Chown: Target for review by TC and provide feedback by the next meeting in two weeks (25th Feb).

[07:15] Bill Chown: Configuration Management: Configuration Shape to be reinserted in the spec

[07:15] Martin Sarabura (PTC): https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OSLCCCM-8

[07:17] Martin Sarabura (PTC): and 9 and 10

[07:18] Bill Chown: Issues 8,9 and 10 to be closed by Nick with no action (pending any further comments) as they are covered by discovery adequately

[07:28] Bill Chown: Change set proposals for vocabulary and shapes. Thought process description and subsequent discussion: existence of a Change Set, and use as a Delta or an Override (replacement) of the configuration to which it relates.

[07:34] Bill Chown: This first release is attempting to be providing a minimal identification of the existence of the Change Set without trying to define its content (at this stage). So should this version include just the definition, enough more for reporting, or a more extensive depth?

[07:41] Bill Chown: Nick will write some more elaboration of the group's preferred scope around a mid-choice capability

[07:50] Bill Chown: This writeup will be forward looking and consider changes to contribution as well as to selections for inclusion in a future revision of the Spec.

[07:59] Bill Chown: Further proposal for contribution validation mechanism, also currently in the csets branch of the SVN repo: Some tools, especially those with local sub-configurations, may have constraints on changes, so the GC app cannot just PUT an arbitrary change and expect it will always succeed. The proposed mechanism allows a local provider to accept, reject, or modify an update request, allowing more local control.

[07:59] Bill Chown: The proposal should be reviewed, for future discussion.

[08:00] Bill Chown: adjourn
