Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (OSLCCORE-20) Service provider should describe domain/scope

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OSLCCORE-20?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=60512#comment-60512 ]

James Amsden commented on OSLCCORE-20:
--------------------------------------

That may have been the consensus at the time, but that is before we had a resolution about the relationship between a ServiceProvider resource and an LDPC (and a Project Area represented by an LDPC). If they are the same, then the client already has the URL to the ServiceProvider. So there should be no need to expand the use of oslc:details, which could have other unanticipated consequences.

> OSLC 2.0 supports a service declaring a domain or scope using oslc:domain and oslc:usage. Jazz applications frequently declare a service provider for each project area. However, there is no standard way for a client to determine which service provider to use for a known project area.
