Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (OSLCCORE-132) Clarify difference of OSLC and SPARQL Graph Patterns
[ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OSLCCORE-132?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=68055#comment-68055 ] David Honey commented on OSLCCORE-132: -------------------------------------- One of the things I dislike about the original specification is its assumption of RDF data persistence with queries based on SPARQL. I think it likely that the majority of implementations will be based on relational databases. With that in mind, I don't think we should make the OSLC query syntax too close to SPARQL. It's ok to describe some concepts, but I think the specification should strive to be persistence technology agnostic. > Clarify difference of OSLC and SPARQL Graph Patterns > ----------------------------------------------------- > > Key: OSLCCORE-132 > URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OSLCCORE-132 > Project: OASIS OSLC Lifecycle Integration Core (OSLC Core) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Query > Reporter: Andrii Berezovskyi > Assignee: David Honey > > §5 opens with "OSLC standard query parameters define graph patterns". > SPARQL has a well-defined normative section on graph patterns: https://www.w3.org/TR/rdf-sparql-query/#GraphPattern -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2.2#6258)
