Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (OSLCCORE-106) Example might not work on many implementations

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OSLCCORE-106?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=68513#comment-68513 ]

James Amsden commented on OSLCCORE-106:
---------------------------------------

It is possible that OSLC query 2.0 was sufficiently underspecified, or implementations were being developed at the same time the specification was being finalized, that there will be variability in existing implementations we can't work around in the query 3.0 spec. At this point, we may have to give up on compatibility to all existing implementations and try to focus on producing a concise, complete and implementable specification.

> https://open-services.net/bin/view/Main/OSLCCoreSpecQuery has this example of a nested oslc.where:
> http://example.com/bugs?oslc.where=dcterms:creator{foaf:givenName="John"; and foaf:familyName="Smith"}
> However, many implementations might only support foaf:name.
> Should we change this example (see below) so it might be more widely supported?
> http://example.com/bugs?oslc.where=dcterms:creator{foaf:name="John Smith"}
