Subject: meeting minutes

Describe telecom October 8, 2020

The today's meeting did not meet the quorum. Therefore, no official business was conducted. Attendees reviewed an update on spec draft for the purpose of information sharing.

Next meeting: October 22, 2020

Scribe: Tom Kamimura

Attendees:

  • Tom Kamimura
  • Masaki Wakao
  • Kazuo Yabuta
  • Shigeaki Matsumoto

Discussion (for information sharing)

  • Specification draft
  • Kamimura updated the status of revision of the working draft for the creation of conformance clause. He has uploaded two documents that summarize information needed to define the conformance clause. These are at https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/oslc-promcode/document.php?document_id=67817 and at https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/oslc-promcode/document.php?document_id=67816. There are several issues to be discussed to finalize the details of the conformance clause.
    • There is some inconsistency between OSLC Core and PROMCODE regarding Discovery. Core uses SHOULD, while PROMCODE uses MUST.
    • Consistency with OSLC Core regarding LDP containers. Currently, PROMCODE requires that containers MUST be basic containers, while Core says that they need to be just LDP containers.
    • There is no MUST, SHOULD nor MAY for creating resources (section 5.3.1) while other operations (read, update and delete) have MUST or MAY.
    • Support of HTTP HEAD and OPTIONS seems required in PROMCODE, but this is not unique to PROMCODE. Compliance with Core 3.0 seems sufficient.
  • Matsumoto-san had a comment on the sentence of the last paragraph of 5.3.1. Currently the sentence says "...and IssueCollectionContainer are created implicitly at the start up stage of the server". NEC's implementation does not create containers at the start up stage of the server. It would be better to change it to "... and IssueCollectionContainer are created implicitly before the containers are used by the PROMCODE server and/or the PROMCODE client".
  • Wakao-san reported that he has communicated with Andrew regarding the publication of PROMCODE vocabulary and shape documents. Andrew created work items for the needed work.

Actions

  • TC members should review the documents as well as the latest working draft for any comments and questions.
  • Wakao-san will share a link to the work items for publication of vocabulary and shape documents.
