Discussions

  • Specification document
    1. Kamimura updated the current status of the specification document. The specification document has been split into three parts: part 1 for main specificcation, part 2 for vocabulary and part 3 for resource shape. The chapter 6 of the previouse specification document has been moved to part 2 and part 3.
    2. Aoyama-san asked Chet regarding an open source licensing requirement when the specification document is made open.
      1. Chit has confirmed that PROMCODE does not need additional license and the licensing of OASIS is suffcient.
      2. It was agreed to change the header of vocab.ttl and shape.ttl files to reflect the licensing requirement.
    3. The TC reviewed the three part specification documents and found the following editorial items to correct.
      1. The title of part 3 should be "Constraints" instead of "Resource Shape".
      2. There is a typo in part 1 in the description of conformance clause [PROMCODE-2].
      3. It will be better to create a chapter to briefly describe vocabulary and constrains with links to Part 2 and Part 3 as done by OSLC QM specification document.
  • Voting
    1. With the assumption on the actions (2.2, 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3) performed, Aoyama-san moved that the TC approve the current working draft with the editorial modification as Committee Specification Draft. The result was as follows.

      • H. Toshida approve

      • S. Matsuoka approve
      • S. Matsumoto approve
      • T. Kamimura approve
      • The motion was approved by unanimous result.
  • Discussion on the usecase document.
    • Kamimura expressed an opinion that the usecase document should be also made public before the public review begins since the document should greatly help reviewers in reviewing PROMCODE specification. With recent revision, the usecase document is mostly ready for making it public. There is one item we need to look at regarding 'inline' representation of properties defined in resource shapes. Wakao-san expressed the need to check with Jim on some details. Matsumoto-san said that there is no example in the document that uses GET of a resource that has 'inline' representation of a property. There was also a question regarding the process to follow, i.e., should we use non standards document approval process or not?

Actions

  • Aoyama-san will contact Chet to inform him of the voting that took place today and following actions.
  • Aoyama-san will contact Chet regarding the process and requirement on publishing usecase document.
  • Wakao-san will examine Chapter 3 of the usecase document regarig the discussion to today. He will contact Jim for advice if necessary.
  • Kamimura will update the specification document to address items pointed out today.(2.2, 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3)
