Discussions

1. Update on TC

  • Following the OASIS process, Tom Kamimura has been elected as a new TC Chair.
  • We are still waiting a response of IPA regarding their support of PROMCODE project. They asked specific items for support on June 15th. Kamimura replied to them indicating financial support for annual membership fee of OASIS and affliation of three TC members with IPA. They asked more time for their consideration.

2. Approval of the document "OASIS PROMCODE: use cases, scenarios, and system flows of a sample implementation" posted at https://tools.oasis-open.org/version-control/browse/wsvn/oslc-promcode/shape/trunk/usecase.html?rev=417&sc=1 This is not a part of normative specification of PROMCODE, but it has useful content in understanding the PROMCODE specification. T. Kamiura moved the draft document to approve to publish as non-standards work product. The result of the voting was unanimous as follows.

  • K. Yabuta approve
  • S. Matsuoka approve
  • M. Wakao approve
  • H. Yoshida approve
  • S. Matsumoto approve
  • T. Kamimura approve

3. Additional TC members. We discussed possiblity of adding members to the TC. The following was discussed.

  • Nakamura-san of Fujitsu who is a graduate of Nanzan University and now works in Fujitsu. He is connected with the situation of Aoyaam lab of Nanzan University. Yabuta-san will contact him on the possibility.
  • Inoya-san and Chiba-san of Hitachi. They were very active in PROMCODE project before. Since Hitach is now a member of OASIS, it may be possible for them to consider their participation. Also, they did some work on implementation.

4. Other implementation possibilities

  • Matsumoto-san talked with people in NEC that support the use of tools for projects for possibility of using PROMCODE model in their environment such as creating Redmine plugin to use PROMCODE data. He indicated that doing such work needs to be justified based on user's needs first. Therefore, getting support from users in projects needs to happen first which is challenging at this stage.
  • Wakao-san discussed possibility in IBM, but has not found concrete ideas yet. He will talk to Nikami-san and look into the possiblity of using PROCODE model with Github features. He will also talk to Horiuchi-san for his latest situation and interest.

5. Others

  • Kamimura asked Matsuoka-san to look at PROMCODE overview slides posted at Slack for his review and comment on Fujitsu's current situation in Page 11.

Actions

  • Kamimura will make a public review request to Chet using the OASIS process. He will also consult Chet regarding the document TC approved for publiscation today.
  • Kamimura will contact Inoya-san and Chiba-san of Hitach.
  • Yabuta-san will contact Nakamura-san of Fujitsu for getting his help.
  • Wakao-san will talk to Nikami-san on the latest need of project management tools. He will also talk to Horiuch-san on his situation and interest.
  • Matsuoka-san will review the slides as descrived in 5 above and will send his comment.
