Subject: RE: [pkcs11] Groups - DSA 186-3 related changes. uploaded

Title: Re: [pkcs11] Groups - DSA 186-3 related changes. uploaded
Agreed -- it is entirely feasible that SHA-3 also encompasses all current SHA-2 mechanisms, in addition to the new Keccak ones. The precedent was set with SHA-2 in that it brought forward the SHA-1 mechanism.

Thanks,

Bob

I'd stick with SHA256, SHA384 et al as no one I know uses SHA2-256 as a
synonym for SHA256.  I don't know that the SHA3 names have been
standardized, but from a powerpoint on the website the names are likely
to look something like:

SHA3n160
SHA3n224
SHA3n256
SHA3n384
SHA3n512

So CKM_DSA_SHAXXX I would think would be preferable.
