Subject: draft motions for tomorrow's PKCS 11 TC call/,meeting

Hi –

In our PKCS 11 TC call tomorrow (Wed 2-Oct, 4 pm EDT US), Valerie and I would like to consider moving the PKCS #11 docs to Committee Drafts and initiating the public reviews.  This would entail 5 motions. I’ve included drafts of them below for everyone to take a look at before the call.

Note that the motions assume that Chris will be able to post new versions of the Base Spec and Current Mechanisms, incorporating the results of the ballots that passed last week, prior to tomrrow’s call.  Also, the Usage Guide, as a non-normative Committee Note Draft, doesn’t have to go to public review according to OASIS process; but I think in our case it would be worthwhile to make the Usage Guide available with the other documents during public review.

-          Xxx moves that the co-chairs create a Full Majority ballot to determine whether the TC 1) promotes “PKCS #11 Cryptographic Token Interface Historical Mechanisms Specification V2.40” wd02 to Committee Specification Draft, as posted by Susan Gleeson on 10-July-2013 at https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/pkcs11/download.php/49904/pkcs11-hist-v2.40-wd02.pdf, and 2) requests OASIS administration to initiate a public review of the Committee Specification Draft, with the proviso that the public review draft includes the most current list of participants and incorporates any known editorial corrections.
